The Walgreens coupon matchups weren’t as awesome this week as I would have liked. This week was just okay.
Vitamins were hot this week.
- NICE trash bags. They’re on sale with an in-ad coupon this week for $2.99, and there’s a coupon in the Walgreens March Coupon Book for $1.00 off these trash bags, and I think that $1.99 is a good price for some trash bags. Heck, we all need trash bags.
- Finest Natural Vitamins. On sale BOGO this week, and I bought Vitamin C for $4.99. Also a good price.
- Colgate Total Toothpaste, on sale for 2/$6 this week with $3 RR back. After two $1.00 off coupons, that makes it like $1 for two.
- Got 2 B styling products. On sale, 2 for $10 and you get $5 in RR back. There’s evidently a $1.00 off coupon in an old 2/12 paper, but I couldn’t find it.
- Kotex Tampons on sale for $4.49 and I had a $1 off coupon from this week’s paper.
- I also saw a clearance price on a double-pack of Nature’s Bounty Vitamin C, normally $26, on clearance for $6. I went for it.
My total before coupons was: $72.44
Less coupons, discounts, and in-store savings: -$36.80
Out of pocket: $35.64
With $8 in RR back for next week, making it like I spent $28 for all that. It’s not an awesome price, but I did save more than 50%.
This week had great CVS coupon matchups with the weekly specials.
I had an AMAZING week this week at CVS. It’s a perfect week to go out there and get some great stuff for your Easter basket.
Mmmm. Chocolate and jelly beans.
- Milky Way Caramel Eggs. With my card, they were 4 for $0.50. I had a coupon to get $1.00 off of 2, so I actually made money on these.
- Speed Stick Deodorant – on sale for $1.99, and there’s a $1.00 off coupon from this Sunday’s Smart Source.
- Gold Emblem Jelly Beans – on sale for $0.99, with $0.99 in ECB back. Free!
- Dole Pineapple. On sale for $0.88, and I had a $0.50 / 2 coupon. Like getting them for $0.36 each.
- Colgate 360 toothbrush. On sale for $2.99 with $2 in ECB back. I had a $0.50 off coupon from this week’s paper, making it $0.49.
- M&M / Mars Easter Candy – on sale $4.19 BOGO, with $2.00 ECB. I had a coupon for $1.50 off 2, making these about $0.35 a bag!
- Glade promotion – spend $20, get $10 ECB. I bought a sense and spray starter kit for $10.99, two refills at $4.29, and a room spray at $1.99. I used a $3 off start kit coupon, $1 off 2 refills, and $0.55 off room spray, all in this week’s paper. That made it like paying $7.01 for all of those.
My total at CVS before coupons was: $50.40

My out of pocket was: $18.15
…and I have $14.99 in ECB for next time…
…making the whole trip like paying $3.16 for all of that!
